Top Indian cueist Pankaj Advani bettered his own performance by storming into the finals of the Asian Snooker Tour event. After an all guns blazing display at the quarterfinals and the semifinals, he is looking forward to grab the title. The quarterfinal was a cracker of a game as it was a face-off between last year’s IBSF World Snooker Championship finalists. Amir Sarkhosh of Iran ended up on the losing side with a 5-1 defeat.
Advani continued his supreme form into the semifinals as he defeated the first leg winner Mohammed Bilal of Pakistan. From a 1-1 tie, Advani piled on multiple breaks to settle the score and book a berth in the finals. The all guns blazing display from Advani was too hard for the opponents. In the finals, played for the gold medal, Advani faces the experienced Chinese Ju Reti. Should the Indian maestro win this title, it would only add on to his vast collection of accolades.
