Argentine Indian Wells finalist Juan Martin del Potro believes that Andy Murray from Britain can be the world’s number one tennis player of 2013.
Juan Martin del Potro defeated Andy Murray last week in the quarterfinals at California. Juan intends to challenge Murray on the tennis court of Aegon Championships at London’s Queen’s Club 15 days before Wimbledon after confirmation.
According to Del Potro, Murray is a great champion. He has won grand slam and made finals at Australia. His achievements show that he is eligible for being a topper in future. Murray will be doing his best to capture the number-one position of tennis this year and utilize the big chance during the grass season.
Wimbledon runner-up Andy Murray along with former US Open champion Juan Martin del Potro and Tomas Berdych will make Queen’s Club field stronger this year as the event starts on 10th June. Last year’s Olympic Bronze medallist Del Potro although took some time to get accustomed with the low-bouncing grasscourts believes that he can challenge Wimbledon title.
Del Potro says that he has fantastic memory of winning bronze medal at the Olympics last year at Wimbledon. It was a magnificent experience for him as he has never played at Olympics before, hence it was a great moment for him as well as for his country. It was even a bigger moment to win at Wimbledon. Del Potro also thinks that if he plays his best tennis he will have the opportunity to win a grand slam although it is very difficult. We wish Juan Martin del Potro all the best for his future events.
