Andy Murray outwitted David Ferrer to claim the Miami Masters title

Andy Murray defeated David Ferrer to claim the Miami Masters title on Sunday in Florida. With this victory, he has surpassed Roger Federer in the world rankings.

Murray crushed Ferrer by 2-6, 6-4, 7-6(1) to win this title. Novak DJokovic had defeated Murray in the final in 2012. Murray narrated to the media after the event that it was a tough match and could have gone the other way round. He added that both of them were battling physically at the end. In contrast, a disgusted Ferrer congratulated Murray admitting that he was tired. He added that it was a very long match and Andy had more at the end. It was a very long match in which both the players were doing their best to win. None of them were sure about their victory. Ultimately, Murray overpowered Ferrer and won the title.

With this victory, Murray will replace Federer and occupy the world 2nd position while Ferrer will claim world no.4 position replacing Rafael Nadal in the ATP rankings.

Serena Williams outwitted Maria Sharapova to claim the title in the women’s title.
