Australia put an end to their losing streak as they defeated the Proteas by 7 runs in the second ODI of the three-match series. After Australia posted a total of 231, South Africa could only manage 224 at the fall of 9 wickets.
Earlier in the Australian innings, skipper Finch scored 44. And Chris Lynn and wicketkeeper Alex Carey contributed 44 and 47 runs respectively. The South African bowlers were precise with their line and length. Rabada picked up 4 wickets and Steyn claimed 2 wickets.
However, Australian bowlers were pretty decent in their bowling effort as they were able to restrict the Proteas to 224. Stoinis picked up 3 wickets and Starc and Hazlewood provided generous support claiming 2 wickets each. Only skipper Faf du Plessis and David Miller managed to contribute 47 and 51 runs.
