Australia Recover From 127-6

After India posted a total of 250, Australia finished day two of the first Test match at 191/7. Although India maintains a slight advantage, the game is still poised and can turn either way. A disciplined bowling performance from Ashwin and the pacers made sure that the hosts still trail by 59 runs. A 50 run partnership from Travis Head (61 batting) and Pat Cummins (10) helped the Aussie team to recover from 127 for 6. At the end of day’s play, Starc was providing company to Head. Peter Handscomb also contributed 34 with Ashwin picking up 3 wickets for 50 runs, and Bumrah and Ishant each claiming 2 wickets. Earlier in the Australian innings, Marcus Harris and Usman Khawaja contributed 26 and 28 runs respectively. India would look forward to capitalize on the advantage and take lead in the match.
