Cadet Asian Wrestling Championship: Indian wrestlers won total 15 medals

To the delight of everyone, Indian wrestlers won the Champion Trophy with 3 golds, 9 silvers and 3 bronze medals in the freestyle category at the 2013 Cadet Asian Free Style, Greco Roman Style and Female Wrestling Championship at Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia on 28th July, Sunday.

Amit Kumar (58kg), Parveen (85kg) and Vikas (63kg) of the freestyle category won the gold medal while Ravi Kumar (54kg), Balraj (76kg), Ankur Rathi (69kg) and Gursewak Singh (100kg) won the silver medals in the same division. The freestyle team hauled 84 points and finished ahead of Iran who ended up as runners-up.

Rajesh (46kg) and Rohit (85kg) won silver medals while Manjeet (69kg) won bronze in the Greco-Roman category.

Remarkably, the Indian girls won five medals. Babita Rani (65kg), Anju Ponghal (46kg) and Divya Kakar (70kg) clinched silver medals, while Pooja Tomar (60kg) and Manju (43kg) claimed bronze medal each.
