The encounter is a must win for Serbia to make it to the next round. Brazil, who has not got out of first gear in Russia thus far, was held to 1-1 draw by Switzerland before their win over Costa-Rica. Serbia hopes to put the last-gasp loss to Switzerland behind them when they face five-time champions Brazil. Serbia needs a victory or perhaps a draw if Costa Rica is to do them a favour in the other match which will be played concurrently.
