It has come to light that Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina have apologized for their on-field spat during the current Celkon Mobile Tri-Nations series match against the West Indies, which ignited an argument about lack of harmony in the Indian dressing room.
A BCCI official revealed that both the cricketers conversed with the team manager M V Sridhar and expressed regret for their on-field conduct.
A senior BCCI official declared on Tuesday that Raina and Jadeja have spoken to the team manager and tendered unconditional apology for their on-the-field behavior. The duo has promised that this type of an act won't be repeated again. Both the cricketers have truly understood that their conduct is unbecoming of a national team cricketer.
On the other side, the interim chief of the BCCI, Jagmohan Dalmiya informed on Monday that the BCCI had sought manager's report into the incident.
Although no action will be taken against the two cricketers and they will not be penalized either but since the issue has given birth into a controversy, the Board would like to keep an official document regarding the incident.
The incident took place following Raina failed to take Sunil Narine's catch on two occasions. After dismissing Narine with the penultimate delivery of the 34th over, Jadeja rushed towards Raina and uttered a few harsh words to which the left-handed batsman was enraged before skipper Virat Kohli interfered.
However, once the match was over, Raina was seen advancing to Jadeja, putting his hand around his neck and attempting to explain for the dropped catches.
