Chennai City Defeats Aizawl

Visitors Chennai City FC secured an all-important victory against Aizawl FC to maintain their top position in the I-League table. Sandro Rodriguez scored a brace for the visitors in the 49th and 77th minute to deny Aizawl a draw. Ansumanah Kromah scored on the 72nd minute to equalize the early second-half goal from Chennai. However, it was not enough to prevent the Aizawl side’s second loss on the trot. Chennai opened up a seven-point lead over second-placed East Bengal with this victory and now have 13 points from 5 games.
