Churchill Routs Aizawl FC 4-1

Former champions Aizawl FC were thrashed 1-4 by Churchill Brothers in an I-League encounter. With this victory, Churchill maintained their unbeaten record and at the same time jumped to the second spot of the table. Khalid Aucho drew first blood in the match on the 23^rd minute and Israel Gurung doubled the lead within a minute. However, Liberian striker Ansumanah Kromah brought down the lead to 2-1 in Aizawl’s favor on the 55^th minute. But, a goal from Anthony Wolfe and a penalty conversion from Willis Plaza wrapped up the proceedings of the match. Aizawl retained their eighth position on the table following the defeat with five points from eight outings. Churchill produced more chances but failed to capitalize on them, lucky for the Aizawl team.
