Jamie Vardy converted a penalty and Maddison scored a superb goal to bring Leicester City back to winning ways. Leicester registered a comprehensive win against 10-man Watford to rout them 2-0.
Manchester United displayed a lot of character against Southampton as they fought back from two goals down to draw 2-2. Armstrong and Soares drew first blood as Southampton went 2-0 up. However, Lukaku and Herrera equalized in the first half itself in a swift response to entertain the football fans in the stadium.
On the other hand, Manchester City won their sixth consecutive match on the trot, with a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth, opening up a five point gap between Liverpool. After Silva scored the opening, it was equalized by Wilson. However, City responded in the second half with Sterling and Gundogan on target for City.
West Ham United also registered a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Newcastle, courtesy Javier Hernandez’s superb brace. A late goal from Felipe Anderson sealed the deal for West Ham.
Crystal Palace put an end to their victory drought as James McArthur and Andros Townsend scored a goal each to crush Burnley FC 2-0.
