Bengal chased down a record 322 against Delhi, courtesy opener Abhimanyu Easwaran’s classy knock of unbeaten 183 to register a seven-wicket victory at Eden Gardens. Abhimanyu was well supported by AnustupMajumdar who contributed a valuable 69 run unbeaten knock. A 186 run partnership ensured Bengal’s highest run chase in the Group B clash. With this victory, Bengal kept quarterfinal hopes alive as they occupy the seventh place in the combined Elite Group A and B with 22 points. They are next scheduled to face Punjab, as they defeated Kerala by 10 wickets.
On the other hand, Karnataka secured a 198-run victory against Chhattisgarh after pacer Ronit More and leg spinner Shreyas Gopal picked up 8 wickets, claiming four each. Karnataka now have 27 points from seven matches, and are placed second in the combined Group A and B tally.
