India will look to restore their former glory when they begin their World Cup campaign in Bhubaneswar next Wednesday against South Africa. India, ranked 5 in FIH will have to play Belgium, Canada and South Africa, the other teams in group C. The team at the bottom of the group will be eliminated. The Aussies would be defending the title which they won back in 2014 at Hague. According to Ric Charlesworth, India failed to retain their focus and thus are not among the likes of Australia, Netherlands, Belgium and Germany today. He even predicted that if India keeps up the good form they might enter the final. On a different note, South Africa captain stated it’s a ‘privilege’ to face a formidable opponent like India in the first game.
