India is placed at a good position at the end of Day 2 of the 4th Test at Sydney. After India posted a mammoth total of 622/7, they declared their innings and asked Australia to bat. Mayank Agarwal’s 77, followed by the magnificent innings of Cheteshwar Pujara (193) and Rishabh Pant (159) put India in a commanding position with Australia finishing the day with 24/0. Nathan Lyon picked up 4 wickets for the Aussies, however the bowlers failed to create any impact as the Indian batsmen played them with relative ease. Australia still trail India by 598 runs and the end of day 2 and would like to deny India their third victory of the series. India currently leads the series by 2-1 and would be eyeing for an innings victory to end the series on a high.
