The third and final T20 between India and the world`s no one T20I side turned out to be a thriller at the Chepauk on Sunday evening. Both the sides were equally good but India had an upper hand. Dhawan`s 95 and Pant`s 58 helped India to get over the line. The match was dominated by India but Fabien Allen made life difficult for the Indian batsmen in the last over. He had five runs to defend and he took the match till the last ball. Pandey somehow managed to take a single and hit the winning run.
Dhawan and Pant`s partnership of 130 runs is the highest against the West Indies in T20 Internationals. Pant was aggressive while Dhawan batted cautiously. It was Rishab Pant`s maiden T20I half-century. Earlier in the match, West Indies showed their batting excellence guided by Nicolas Pooran. There was no Bumrah or Kuldeep which helped the Windies. This series will generate confidence in India as they will face Australia later this month.
