Mumbai, April 13 (IANS) Harbhajan Singh's lusty hitting went in vain, as Kings XI Punjab defeated Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in an Indian Premier League encounter here on Sunday.
Replying to a challenging 177/5 posted by Kings XI, the hosts finished at 159/7 at the Wankhede stadium.
Harbajan Singh (64; 24b, 5x4, 6x6) top scored for the losers. Anurit Singh, Mitchell Johnson and Axar Patel got two wickets each for the Kings.
Earlier, Kings XI rode on a good start to post an imposing 177/5.
Punjab skipper Bailey played a captain's knock of 61 from 32 balls with four boundaries and three sixes.
Harbhajan and fast bowler Lasith Malinga took two wickets apiece.
