The tournament is set to be played between February 25 and March 8 in Bangladesh.
After a lot of speculation over Pakistan’s participation in the upcoming Asia Cup in Bangladesh due to security concern, the Asian Cricket Council confirmed that Pakistan will be part of the tournament, alongside hosts Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
According to a report on ESPNcricinfo, the Asian Cricket Council, who announced the schedule for the tournament, said that the tournament still needs security clearances from participating teams.
The tournament is set to begin on February 25 and go on till March 8. The 11 matches will be played at two venues: Mirpur and Fatullah.
Earlier, there were doubts that Bangladesh could lose the hosting rights for the tournament due to the political turmoil in the country but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) assured adequate security which convinced the Asian Cricket Council to retain them as hosts of the tournament.
Bangladesh also hosted the previous edition of the tournament where they finished runners-up, losing to Pakistan in the final.
