After waiting for more than two months, club football is back. The Premier League starts off tonight and we could not have asked for a better opening fixture. Manchester United take on Leicester City in a match that promises to be a thrilling encounter to say the least. United have not had a great summer transfer window, failing to sign most of the big names on their transfer target list. On the contrary, Leicester City have managed to retain players like Harry Maguire, who was an important target for the Red Devils. However, they did lose RiyadMahrez to Man City. The Citizens will go up against a new-look Arsenal under the management of Unai Emery in their season opener.
Newly promoted clubs Fulham and Wolves have done some really good business ahead of the 18/19 season as they’ll look to cause a few upsets. Teams like Chelsea and Liverpool have also strengthened their squads adding some quality players to their respective sides.
Ligue 1 also kicks off this weekend while Barcelona and Sevilla go up against each other in the Spanish Supercopa. In the Ligue 1 opener, Marseille and Toulouse play each other.
