PV Sindhu clinched the final spot in the BWF World Tour Finals, after defeating RatchanokIntanon of Thailand. The 23 year old face shuttler continued her supreme form in the tournament to set up a finals clash against Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara. Sindhu dominated the entire semifinal match to outclass her opponent in straight games 21-16, 25-23, in a match that lasted only 54 minutes. The Olympic silver medalist Sindhu will be facing an uphill task when she takes on Okuhara, as the former had already lost the World Championship final last year to the Japanese shuttler.
On the other hand, Sameer failed to convert a match point advantage and went down fighting against Shi Yuqi of China in the semifinal. Sameer lost the match 21-12, 20-22, 17-21. Now all the eyes would be on Sindhu to see whether she would be able to clinch the BWF title.
