Indian squash star, Saurav Ghosal progressed into the third round of the Qatar Classic, a PSA World tour platinum event. Ghosal defeated his Hong Kong opponent Leo Au in straight games. It was a sweet revenge for the Indian who faced defeat at the hands of his counterpart at the Asian Games in the semi finals. Having a bye in the first round, he defeated Leo by 11-2, 11-3, 11-5.
The third round is expected to be a cracker of a game, as Saurav will be facing second Seed Ali Farag of Egypt. They have met before only on one occasion where the Egyptian defeated Saurav in the first round of the CCI International in Mumbai. Saurav would be keen to settle the score since Farag was only a qualifier in that event and the latter spoiled his party.
