Sevilla climbed to the top position of La Liga after edging past opponent Real Valladolid 1-0. This became possible after Barcelona drew with Atletico Madrid 1-1. They are now leading defending champion Barcelona by one point, with 26 points from 13 outings. Portuguese forward Andre Silva netted a close-range header to take Sevilla to top. On the other hand, Atletico are now at third postion, with Real Madrid at 6th after losing to Eibar 3-0.
