Reportedly, India's numero uno singles player Somdev Devvarman cleared the first snag in the US Open 2013 qualifying tournament with a straight set victory over Fabiano De Paula to crash into the 2nd round.
The sixth seeded trounced his Brazilian opponent by 6-4, 6-3 within one hour and nine minutes in the first round of the US Open qualifiers.
Remarkably, the 113 ranked broke Paula one time in the commencing set while thrice in the second set. Subsequently, he will lock horns with Robby Ginepri of America who is ranked 123 places below him at 236.
