It has been reported that India's top singles player Somdev Devvarman climbed three spots to 98 in the latest ATP rankings declared on Monday.
Since more than one and a half years, the Indian tennis ace has been ranked outside the top 100.
Remarkably, Somdev had accomplished a career-best rank of 62 in 2011, but unfortunately a shoulder injury arrested his progress and pushed him down the ranks.
Apart from him, another Indian tennis hopeful Yuki Bhambri shot up to 287 with a massive jump of 190 places, after his performance at the Taiwan Challenger. Here he was the runner-up following qualifying for the main draw.
In the doubles event, US Open champion team Leander Paes and Radek Stepanek stood at No.5, while Rohan Bopanna along with his partner at 7 and Mahesh Bhupathi with his partner at No.10.
Above all, Novak Djokovic continued to maintain his slender lead over US Open champion Rafael Nadal in the ATP rankings.
