Sonia Shows Her Class, Joins Mary

Sonia Chahal showed her class at the AIBA Women’s Boxing Championship after she outclassed her North Korean opponent to go into the finals. She defeated Jo Son Hwa with a unanimous 5-0 in the 57kg category, to join compatriot Mary Kom who will be fighting for the 48kg category gold medal. However, Simranjeet lost to Dan Dou from China and thus settled for bronze medal in the 64kg category semifinal. Sonia will now be facing Germany’s Gabriele in the final.
