Mumbai posted a modest total of 297 on the board, courtesy Shivam Dubey’s ton in their Group A Ranji clash against Gujarat. After Mumbai were in a tight spot at 74-5, Dubey’s 128 ball 110 runs helped the hosts to post a total they can defend. Siddesh Lad contributed 62 to form a partnership with Dubey.
On the other hand, a strict bowling from Bengal helped them to restrict Tamil Nadu to 218/7 on the opening day. However, Tamil Nadu fought back later in the day due to Baba Aparajith’s resilience (81 not out) and Kaushik Gandhi’s half century.
