Tottenham moved their home ground to Wembley last season following their renovation plans. The White Hart Lane got a complete makeover, making it one of the state-of-the-art stadiums in the world. It’s a football field with a retractable pitch for NFL. Tottenham wanted their stadium to be ready by the middle of September, before the Liverpool game. However, that looks highly unlikely as the stadium opening has been postponed owing to safety issues.
Tottenham have gotten in touch with the FA over using Wembley as their home ground for a few more matches and according to reports, they have made a substantial payment for the same. Spurs officials are trying their level best to open their 62,000-seater stadium this season itself.
According to an FA official, “Spurs have taken the option to come to Wembley for a number of Premier League home games and the home games in the group stage of the Champions League.”Despite the delay, we are all excited to see them back in action in their dear old White Hart Lane.
