Transfer Window Round-up: 17th Aug

Steven N’zonzi completed his move to Rome from Sevilla FC this summer. Roma, who had missed out on signing Malcom thanks to a last-minute intervention from Barcelona, managed to land the midfielder who had been on Barca’s radar too. Monchi said after the signing that this was probably a better recruitment than Malcom.

“I didn’t say we’d sign a footballer who plays in the same position as Malcom, I said we’d sign a better player. For me, Steven is a better player than Malcom”, said Monchi.

In other news, putting an end to all the transfer rumours this season, WilfriedZaha signed an extension with Crystal Palace. Chelsea on the other hand released Bakayoko who joined AC Milan this summer.

Barcelona released Brazilian defender Marlon this week. He will join Sassuolo for a €12million
transfer fee.
