Transfer Window Round-up: 21st July

The transfer window has heated up as a number of big names are on the move.  Recent reports suggest that N’golo Kante might be on his way out of Stamford Bridge and join PSG. Barcelona has shown considerable interest in him and Adrien Rabiot, the latter being more likely to join the Catalan outfit. Considering this possibility, PSG are targeting Kante as a replacement.

Barcelona seems to be in dire need of a midfielder after the departure of Iniesta. Thiago Alcantara is a probable candidate as the player is a product of La Masia and has expressed his willingness to return to the Camp Nou. Paul Pogba is more of a surprise candidate as reports suggest that Barca officials have been in talks with his agent, Mino Riola.

Karim Benzema on the other hand is open to a move away from Madrid and AC Milan seems to be interested in availing the services of the Frenchman. Another Frenchman, Lucas Digne could also be on his way out, as the Barcelona left-back has seen very little game time owing to the presence of Jordi Alba. Initially, it seemed like Juventus was going to be his next destination but with the signing of Ronaldo, Juventus might be plotting to lure Marcelo to Turin. In a sharp turn of events, Digne is now close to a move to Everton.

Thiago’s brother Rafinha, who had spent the last few months on loan with Inter, finally has received some good news. The Inter and Spurs target is set to be retained by Barcelona, having impressed with the Milan side on loan and catching the eye of the Barca manager, Ernesto Valverde during the pre-season warm up.
