Barcelona have completed the signing of yet another player, and this time it’s the veteran midfielder Arturo Vidal, who joined the Catalan club from Bayern for €20million. Coming off a knee injury, the midfielder will look to cement his place in a team which has a lot of options in terms of potential and talent. Barcelona has confirmed the exits of Lucas Digne and Aleix Vidal, the latter re-joining Sevilla on a 4-year deal. According to sources, Barcelona had their ridiculous offer for Paul Pogba rejected by Manchester United. Even though United are unwilling to sell him, Pogba’s agent has been in touch with the Blaugrana officials over the past few weeks. Reports say that United turned down a €50million bid including Yerry Mina and Andre Gomesfor the Frenchman.

Things in Madrid are a little more complicated as Kovacic has apparently quit training and gone on a ‘strike’ in order to force through a move away from the Bernabeu. Similar reports from London however should lift the moods of the Madrid supporters, as Courtois has apparently stopped training with his Chelsea teammates, looking to seal his big-money move to Real Madrid. Chelsea seems to have their own ideas as they are now looking to trigger the €100million release clause of Atleti-goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, as a replacement for Courtois.

In other news, United are close to sealing a deal for the services of the out-of-favour Belgian defender, Toby Alderweireld. United target and Bayern defender, Jerome Boeteng, seems more likely to join PSG while their pursuit for the signature of Leicester City defender Harry Maguire has ended rather disappointingly as the English centre-back is set to stay with the Foxes next season. Dortmund has signed Axel Witsel from CSL club Tianjin Quanjianfor just €20million.
