US Open 2013: Rafael Nadal banged Philipp Kohlschreiber in the 4th round

Remarkably, Rafael Nadal is undefeated in 19 matches on hard courts this year following returning to trounce 22nd-seeded Philipp Kohlschreiber of Germany by 6-7 (4), 6-4, 6-3, 6-1 and appear in the U.S. Open quarterfinals.

However, he will not play with Roger Federer next. In fact, the 2nd-seeded Nadal, who counts the 2010 U.S. Open amongst his 12 Grand Slam titles, banged Kohlschreiber on Monday night in the 4th round.

Actually, their match concluded after about two and a half hours following Federer was overpowered in straight sets by 19th-seeded Tommy Robredo, who was Nadal's quarterfinal rival. If Federer would have won, he and Nadal would have played each other for the 32nd time and of course first at Flushing Meadows.

Nadal faced only one break point against Kohlschreiber and saved it. Truly, he has yet to lose a service game in the tournament.
